LIGHT!!! Yes, indeed! Thanks to several very helpful guys there is now functional lighting in my kitchen and dining room. Running water and lights sure do make a difference. Cooking and washing dishes have never been more fun.
Lauren, my new housemate, has gradually been moving her things into Bethel. It is fun to watch her space come together as she adds her youthful touches to our home. Next week her address change becomes official. I'm looking forward to having her with me. Perhaps you will get to meet her soon.
Last weekend some of my neighbors sponsored a block party. The weather was perfect, the food delicious, and the company most pleasant. I enjoyed chatting with people I already knew as well as getting acquainted with those I had not previously met. Once again I gave thanks to God for planting me in such a special neighborhood.
Slowly, but surely my life at Bethel is coming together. It's a quite different place from what it was even six weeks ago. I'm currently praying for new windows and insulation as winter approaches. Kitchen cabinets are also a major need that hopefully will be supplied in the near future.
Thanks for hanging in there with me! I'll try to post more pictures before too long. :)
