Behind
I'm running a little behind in posting this week. Actually, I'm running a little behind, period. :) Last week was productive in that a great deal of drywall work was done. A couple of hours will finish that project when laborers are available to do it. Hopefully that will happen this week. The basement has been thoroughly cleaned and is ready for use. The carpet has been removed from my sun room. The gigantic blue dumpster is noticeably absent, and a kind neighbor mowed my yard. My first roses even bloomed on Mother's Day!
Currently the greatest challenge is scheduling workers to complete the drywall, spray prime, paint, and lay flooring. Unfortunately there are availability conflicts meaning that the flooring may need to go down before the walls and ceiling are primed and painted. Obviously that is not ideal, but getting the floors done will allow me to begin moving furniture and other items as each room is painted. There's a silver lining behind every cloud. :)
In next week's update I hope to have some "during" pictures to post. So far the progress has not been visible enough to show up in photos, but eventually the difference will be remarkable. Meanwhile, I would appreciate your prayers for workers, scheduling, major progress, and good rest. Honestly, I am quite worn out from pushing too hard for weeks. I haven't given up on my goal of moving by the end of May, but the deadline is looming. Say a little prayer or two for me when you can.
I so deeply appreciate your support and words of encouragement! Last week, an old friend from the decorating forum I frequented in my former life felt a tug back to my Daffodil Hill blog. There Punky discovered the news about Bethel and this new blog, and she spread the news at the forum. I have been delighted to hear from several other ladies as a result. Throughout this process I have been amazed at the traffic this blog has generated. There have been well over 600 views already! To each and every reader: Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate you! :)
Hello Beth! Reading here this afternoon (my first visit) has given me a major faith boost. It's so very encouraging to read how the Lord has provided for so many details with this house project of yours. I plan to join in praying for you. God Bless!
