Demolition Derby
By God's grace and with the help of ten incredible friends, amazing progress was made yesterday at Bethel's Demolition Day! These guys tore out the entire kitchen and the main bathroom. The carpet, tack strip, staples, and baseboards were removed throughout the house. All of the drapes and drapery rods were taken down, and drywall patching began. The shed was emptied, and the yard was cleaned up. The big blue dumpster is full! After all of that was done, three more wonderful friends arrived with a Ryder truck loaded with furniture and cabinets from Jan in Chicago! Now the garage is full of things that will be used in the house. You'll be seeing pictures of those items later, but today I'll just give you a glimpse of some of the demolition. Warning: it's disgusting!
Kitchen BEFORE Demoltion Day...
The pictures don't do it justice. It was much worse than it looks!
More pictures to come weekly as renovation progresses! Today I just need a nap. Twelve hours of hard labor wore me out, but I am intensely grateful to God and my phenomenal friends for accomplishing so much in one day!
